Kotulas was created as a brand extension of Northern Tool + Equipment (NTE). When NTE wanted to expand its current product portfolio and build a new brand that offers more unique fun products other than their traditional power tools and equipment, they came to their long-time eCommerce partner BlueSky. The Kotulas brand features an assortment of unique gifts and gadgets hard to find in stores. Because it was an unproven concept, Kotulas had a limited timeframe and budget for the initial release. BlueSky heavily leveraged the pre-built WebSphere Commerce V6 assets in our CodeBlue Frameworks to create Kotulas.com in order to meet the timeframe and budget constraints. Since that initial release Kotulas.com has performed exceptionally well and far exceeded NTE's expectations for revenue and ROI. As a result of their overall success NTE has reinvested in their eCommerce enterprise and recently re-launched Kotulas.com on WebSphere Commerce V7. See the V7 site in action at www.kotulas.com.
