Online spend during the two biggest shopping days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, saw double-digit growth respectively over prior year according to Adobe Digital Insights.
Black Friday Online Spend Year over Year
Cyber Monday Spend Year over Year
NRF reported more than 174 million Americans shopped in stores and online during the long holiday weekend. Cyber Monday shaped up to be the largest single day in shopping history with a reported $6.5B in transactions. Mobile also saw big jumps over last year as the preferred method of shopping. Multi-channel shoppers proved to be biggest spenders outpacing online and in store only shoppers. What remains to be seen is if this shopping uptick will sustain itself through the entire holiday season or turn into Dealcember.
